Something More than we could imagine!
I was reading a friends blog today and this is how he described his church:
I am most excited about things that God is doing today amongst our people. We see people taking the command of Christ to make disciples more seriously than ever. We are seeing the close friends and family come to Christ and this is the best evidence to transformed lives. I am excited about the way people are opening their homes and their lives to their neighbors and taking the gospel to places that otherwise would never be reached. This an many other things give me great hope this morning that God is up to something at church, ailment something more than we could ever have hoped for or imagined.
If I was not at Hope, sales I would want to be at this church. Words like transformation, doctor sharing, disciples, family, excited when combined to talk about a church are pretty attractive! Katie, Zach, and I talked for two hours today on how we want to see transformation as a part of our ministries. Again, this really gets me jazzed!
I am sure God is at work in the lives of people at Hope but I pray and desire that God would be at work in ways beyond what we could imagine not just in the lives of a few people but in all of Hope Church. I am pray as Hope attenders, we would be hearing, seeing, and experiencing stories of God at work and walk away amazed at what God is and wants to do in and through Hope. I’d like to see new people coming to Hope because they hear from us (current attenders) about God at work in our lives and in our body – and they walk away from conversations with us so moved they need to come and check it out.
This is what I prayed for Hope Church today.
